You will be part of a fast-paced BigData Infrastructure team responsible for operational excellence on Big Data Cloud defining and implementing SRE capabilities leading into best in class availability, Observability and next generation alerting and monitoring features. You will be challenged with identifying innovative and creative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.

We are looking for hard-working BigData / Linux Administrator with Cloud expertise to assist with planning and migration of Big Data workloads onto cloud. As an administrator and automation champion on our impactful BigData team you will also be responsible for installing latest and innovative products, build cloud integration capabilities leveraging native cloud and proprietary tooling and also build automation to enhance and improve infrastructure and application productivity. Organizational Context - Member of a SRE team reporting to Director.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering is required

  • 6 years of infrastructure administration or automation experience

  • 4 years of scripting experience using Python / shell scripting

  • Be adept in working on Cloud (GCP), Virtualized & highly efficient mid-range Compute, Storage, and Networking systems

  • Understanding and hands on experience of cloud principles and technologies (GCP, Dockerization, Kubernetes, Dataflow, BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Dataproc).

  • Solid understanding of cloud configuration and container management products: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Mesos, Istio, Docker, etc.

  • 4 years of infrastructure monitoring experience

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential

  • Considerable experience on Hadoop (any Hadoop distribution) cluster installation, management, and administration experience

  • Good understanding of CI/CD process

  • Ability to automate processes using automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, etc.)

  • Communications-oriented mindset, and a genuine willingness to spend as much time as necessary on careful and thoughtful planning for execution

  • Ability to effectively collaborate within your direct team and across teams

If you have completed your primary vaccine series but have not yet reached your booster eligibility date, you will be able to come into the office; however, you will need to complete your booster within 30 days of becoming eligible to continue coming in and participating in company-sponsored in-person events.
