Cloud Migration Program Delivery Lead / Manager

Lenght: 15 Months

Description:

Responsible for the overall leadership of an initiative to migrate over 100 applications from a traditional data center to Azure. In addition to application/server migrations the initiative will also accomplish the following activities: upgrade Windows and Linux operating systems, upgrade SQL Server and Oracle databases, upgrade Java versions, upgrade various packaged applications, automate regression test scripts and create CI/CD pipelines in Microsoft DevOps, decommission equipment in data center, automate server, operating system, storage and network provisioning processes leveraging Azure ARM templates and Ansible, automate software installations, and re-factor applications to leverage PaaS services.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree and 10+ years working experience in Information Technology
  • Superior knowledge of project management practices to effectively support project execution
  • 6+ years managing large scale technology infrastructure projects
  • 2-5+ years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Scrum software development concepts.
  • Knowledge of: CI/CD, Automated Testing, and Agile
  • Experience in large scale applications and servers migrations between data centers or to cloud providers
  • Experience in automating server, operating system, storage and network provisioning processes using automation tools such as Ansible
  • Experience in creating/running automated test scripts and orchestrating CI/CD pipelines
  • Extensive experience managing budgets
  • Extensive experience with vendor management
  • Experience working with off shore resources and vendors

Additional Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal / relationship management skills, able to foster working relationships within the team, across IT and with business colleagues
  • Knowledge of business and technology practices and trends
  • Superior coaching, influencing, negotiation and elicitation skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Own the customer relationship of the project, partnering with other key stakeholders and vendors to attain the business goals and objectives
